Climate Change : causes and consequences

Climate change, we hear a lot about it, and most of all, it’s taking such an important place in school programs… What are the scientific proof of that change ? How to explain it ? What are the consequences ? And what will our future look like ? Through a workshop using an investigative approach, you’ll become an expert on climate change and the greenhouse effect and will be able to reinvest all this new knowledge in your classroom. This module is available from 9 am until 12 pm and from 1 pm until 4 pm
Vigie Nature

Wildlife of my street

Biodiversity is in crisis ! The IPBES highlighted that many factors can explain the fall in biologic diversity including the changing use of our soils (urbanisation for exemple), the changes in climate… To better understand the impact of these factors, it is necessary to collect multiple datas regarding biodiversity. Vigie-Nature Ecole is offering diverse protocols aiming to collect data about common biodiversity. In this workshop, we’ll take the exemple of one those protocoles : Wildlife of my street. After a moment to present the goals of the program and a test on the field, we’ll present some results concerning the impact of global changes amongst plant communities. This module is available from 9 am until 12 pm and from 1 pm until 4 pm

Edu Climat

ClimaKit and the Educlimat Tree

The ClimaKit is made of educational tools aimed towards classes from primary school until high school. They’ll allow you to organize your own workshops and to dispose of various supports in order to start a conversation around climate change, energy and the environment in you classroom. The Educlimat Tree is a fun activity made of different steps and games allowing for a better understanding of the articulation between energy, human activities and climate change. This module is available from 9 am until 12 pm and from 1 pm until 4 pm

ClimaKit & Counting carbon at all ages.

In addition to the ClimaKit description noted above, this second module will get into details with many games classifying greenhouse emissions. The Carbonometer is an educational card game offering to classify various activities depending on their carbon impact. It allows a better and quicker understanding of the orders of magnitude of greenhouse emissions. With the Carbon on Level, you’ll allow your students to realize their own carbon footprint of the year in a simplified way by stacking stickers to a ladder. This module is available from 9 am until 12 pm and from 1 pm until 4 pm
