To celebrate its 225th anniversary, École Polytechnique is organizing an international scientific symposium on the theme of sustainable development on June 7, 2019. In the face of the unprecedented challenges that climate change and the increasing scarcity of natural resources present to humanity, this symposium aims to stimulate reflection on the issues and opportunities of sustainable development.

Researching, educating and acting
for sustainable development

Nobel laureates and personalities from science, industry and politics will each present their vision of a sustainable future, where science and technology will play an essential role in defining both public policies and industrial strategies.
